El proyecto neoliberal en Pregón y El Tribuno de Jujuy. Tiempo, espacio y actores en la agenda de la privatización de Altos Hornos Zapla

Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze how local prevailing newspapers built the agenda about the privatization of Altos Hornos Zapla (Blast Furnace Zapla) in Jujuy province. The purpose is to examine the critical conjuncture of the period in which the bid for Altos Hornos Zapla took place till the moment of its preaward to the only bidder (Aceros Zapla S.A.), to point out its specific characteristics. The proposed hypothesis is that the representations offered by local press show the strategies related to the local assessment of the privatization process and its articulation with the neoliberal project.
