Territorio en pugna: la Feria Binacional de Camélidos en la Provincia de Jujuy (Argentina)

Abstract

The presence and effectiveness of Argentine state at a sector of geographic limit with Bolivia is taken into account in this paper. Specifically, the Feria Binacional de Camélidos is analyzed because it took place at the border between Province of Jujuy (Argentina) and the Department of Potosí­ (Bolivia), carried out by producers of camelid cattle from both sides of that border. Through the study of the process around this event, an attempt of conceptualization is made, and characters of the border and the presence of nation are analyzed at the place and circumstances where its jurisdiction begins.
