Abstract
Local communities have begun to worry about leverage different resources (primarily human resources, capacity and innovation of local entrepreneurs and productive and technological culture) in order to address the restructuring of production deriving from the changes in capitalism globally. This phenomenon happens in an increasingly competitive world, where the improvement in production is one of the key factors from technology diffusion and qualification of human resources.
In this academic production, “Oil activity in the north of the Province of Santa Cruz: the role of regional business actors and their relation to territorial development”, we aim to investigate the role assumed by small and medium companies based oil services in the north of the Province of Santa Cruz (Cuenca del Golfo San Jorge) regarding the development of the territory and local communities. For this section, we first present an overview of the socioeconomic context of the last 25 years with reference to the main changes in the economic policy of the country (90’ decade of the last century and the early decades of century XXI). Then we make a description of the business dynamics of the oil industry and the different characteristics of PyMEs oil services. In the third part we get into the internal dimensions of these regional companies from management technologies; and in the fourth paragraph we do a critical analysis of organizations about the possibilities of coordination to think local development.
